A few sightings from the last week...

We begin our work days here at Wilderness Wind with a short reading and 20 minutes of silence out in the woods. During one of these times this past week my co-worker Aubrey discovered a most beautiful flower near our swamp walk. We found out it is called a Calypso or Fairy-Slipper, so befitting of what a real fairy would wear. Check out more images of the Fairy-Slipper.

And just around the next tree I spotted some wolf scat. It looks just like dog scat but it is very hairy.

Later that day, I saw a white-tailed jack rabbit hopping in the woods. I would follow it and take a picture, it would hop on deeper into the woods and i would follow it, take a picture when it stopped and then it would hop on again. I enjoyed playing a version of "leap frog" with "jack". After following this guy around for a bit i ran into this other one. I think she is called an Aubit. And she seemed to be listening ever so carefully, but not to me. I think she is a lover of birdsongs.

I hope you are all enjoying glimmers of gift and gratitude in your days! If you have my email, please share your glimmers with me.
